Carpentry Job Description

​

State College Design & Construction is looking for someone who can assist with remodels and new construction projects. We work on upper end custom projects that require attention to detail and good customer service. We are a small firm that values team members that pitch in where needed to get a job done. We pay a competitive wage commensurate with experience and offer medical insurance.

Applicants should possess:

  • carpentry experience, including rough framing, roofing, siding, finish carpentry, trim and hardwood flooring installation. Electrical, plumbing and tile skills are a plus.

  • problem solving skills and be willing to work through daily challenges of custom construction

  • a valid driver’s license

  • What do carpenters do?
    -Work with wood, steel, and/or plaster -Construct, install, and repair structures -Construct & install frameworks (studding, rafters, wooden stairways, window & door frames, hardwood floors, etc.) -Install drywall, siding, and insulation -Prepare cost estimates
  • Working conditions
    Residential, commercial or industrial sites Indoor and/or outdoor Sometimes work in inclement weather Sometimes work at high elevations Requires bending, kneeling, lifting
